Unipheye Music joins the classical music community mourning the loss of Abe Torchinsky who passed away last month at the age of eighty-nine years old. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Torchinsky graduated The Curtis Institute of Music in 1941, where he was a faculty member from 1967 to 1976. He was a member of the NBC Symphony Orchestra from 1946 to 1949, directly after which he became principal tuba for the Philadelphia Orchestra. He taught at the University of Michigan after retiring from the Philadelphia Orchestra in 1972. He was a close friend to my father. He will be missed and remembered.

Dave Garrison has passed away. Dave worked at STO Sound and Vision in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania. He was a brilliant, quick witted human being with a wonderful ear. He was a friend and a fan of Unipheye Music. He will be missed. He was a young man.

This is a rare opportunity to witness what our microphones actually hear without further degradation of file compression.
