Mendelssohn String Quartet in A minor<br>Debussy String Quartet in G minor
Recorded Direct-to-PCM on the 10th and 11th of May, the Felix Mendelssohn Opus 13 A minor String Quartet and the Claude Debussy Opus 10 G minor String Quartet are performed stunningly by Joel Link-violin, Bryan Lee-Violin, Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt-viola and Camden Shaw-cello, recently named the Poseidon String Quartet, from the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, USA. It is immediately evident how deeply the group feels the work. With every bow stroke they telegraph the joy of music as well as the smooth cohesion and communication within the group.

Realizing that only a portion of people are able to pass 24bit/192kHz, FLAC files for this album are available in both 24bit/192kHz and 24bit/96kHz so that this special experience can be accessible to more. The movements of each work remain unedited, though the intact individual movements were those chosen as the best from the session, then cut together.

We set out with intent to design something unique, organic, not cookie-cutter; to capture the intimacy of chamber music, and in someplace other than a concert hall environment. Upon first encounter, this may be an experience other than typical. Perhaps you will find that among other things, we have captured the raw excitement and emotionality of the playing in a very fresh way. Come . . . explore with us.

This is a very powerful and exquisite performance. We are very proud to have the opportunity to share it with you.

This album has received The Blue Moon Award from 6Moons. Read the review by David Kan. Also included among his Best of 2009.

"I have been playing the CDs over the last few days. I am enormously impressed. Their sense of realism is unlike any other CDs or recorded musical performances I have heard before. I really feel the musicians are right there in the room with me. Their wide dynamic range, 'presence' and clarity make a very faithful and truthful performance."
Ross Pogson – Australia, having heard our Mendelssohn/Debussy String Quartets and Camden Shaw Cello Solo albums.

"Compliments to you on the sonic excellence of these tracks. You say they sound natural as you hear you father play over the years in the house. This is not a sales hype and I do concur with the accolades in the reviews cited in your web."
Francis Leung - Hong Kong

"Unipheye Music’s uncompressed, unfiltered, unedited and unconventionally pristine recording on Studio Master Reference Disc is the closest to a live performance I have ever witnessed."
Davis Kan - 6Moons

"I played the Mendelssohn/Debussy String Quartets CD. I must say that it is without doubt, the finest sounding CD I've ever heard. The sound was quite convincing."
Peter Fulton - Bethesda, Maryland

"Among audiophiles, 'I could almost reach and touch them' is the highest praise imaginable. With that as one's goal, you succeed in capturing the quartet's essential 'woodiness.' High marks for that."
Mike Silverton - Music Reviewer for The Stereo Times

"Oh MY GOD! This is simply brilliant. The violin is ALARMING! I'm in love. Where has this been all my life?"
Ken Bingham

"I have been listening to it and enjoying it thoroughly. The musicianship is superb from these young musicians and your recording quality has that wonderful, natural "you are there" presence and life to it."
Nelson Brill - Music Reviewer for The Stereo Times
